Annoying Annan Appeals

The United Nations is truly a mixed blessing. Mr. Kofi Annan keeps popping up with his unwanted , advice This is the same Secretary-General who will not provide congress with requested documents which might implicate himself and French elitists in the oil for food scandal. It is the same international diplomat who has (sorta) considered sanctions against the United States while balking at doing so for just about every terrorist nation in the world.
The UN is merely a tool from a realistic secularist standpoint (Revelations to be addressed later but not by me-One world government and currency will have to come from somewhere). It is like a our computer with Microsoft Windows x?x?x? loaded, we might kick it and mash the qwertyasdfjkl; keys mercilessly when it does not do what we want it to but it also apparently has some uses which is why we keep it around. Just like the Windows OS it eats up too much of our assets, is bogged down in code/worthless features, crashes without warning, gives us messages we do not want to hear, performs actions against our will and is generally annoying and incomprehensible. Fortunately for us there are a bunch of Information Technology types in our government who can keep it running, manipulate the system, adjust the registry and allow us to accomplish certain useful things with it despite the fact that Gates/Annan seem to be out of control and manipulative. There are other operating systems out there but they have very limited access to the overall world of programs/governments. Please also excuse the Virii, Worms and Spybots in the system.
The UN is now a massive bureaucracy but it really does semi-effectively address some areas that are wrong with the world, albeit at great cost in capital, but at least not in overly disproportionate levels to the US of A. While the UN is made up of a huge number of disparate, selfish and sometimes downright evil members it is still a wonderful little framework for us to manipulate in a lot of the situations, and the US government is good at it. An additional benefit is that it is completely harmless when censuring the permanent members. Why do you think Russia still participates? When they agree with our aims it makes things easy to accomplish, When they don't, hey no great loss we would have assimilated the cost anyhow. We cannot dismiss world opinion completely and when the UN actually does solve a Kosovo/Bosnia Herzegovina/Yugoslavia situation then Kudos to them/us. Let us treat our tools well where we can and not throw them away when Mr. Clippy (the MS word paperclip advisor) pops up on our screen unbidden. I think I will start referring to whomever the current UN Secretary-General is as Mr. Clippy.

Hmmmmmm. "Mr. Clippy Annan"

Mr. Clippy Annan says:

It appears you are trying to write a document on how to conduct the War on Terrorism
May I suggest:

1). A new resolution document that will allow corrupt UN members to delay acting on your behalf.
2). A complete reformatting of your Executive and Legislative branches of government.
3). A template that includes international consensus building bureaucracy suggestions.
4). A preformatted letter of apology to the UN.
5). No thanks, continue using MS/UN word.
A friend suggested that just like with Windows, choosing one of the help functions from the UN seldom is the best choice.
